Projects of the General Archive of the Carmelites

Today's news via CITOC (Centrum Informationis Totius Ordinis Carmelitarum) in Rome:   Projects of the General Archive of the Carmelites Thanks to the contributions of the Conference of Italian Bishops (CEI), destined for archives and historical libraries belonging to Dioceses, Congregations and Religious Orders, the General Archive of the Order in 2018 was able to carry out, the project of digitizing nine manuscripts of the "General Postulation" Section, vis à vis the series "Vitae servorum Dei Carmelitarum", produced by the postulator Serafino Maria Potenza (18th century), containing a total of 10.514 cards. The photo-reproductions will soon be available in the Archive and, in the near future, also on the portal of the CEI "BeWeB" (Beni Ecclesiastici on the Web), in support of the electronic inventory that is being composed. With the contributions of the CEI scheduled for 2019, it is hoped to complete the digitization of the remaining seven Potenza Codes and to restore six parchments from the Diplomatic Section, ranging from the twelfth to the fifteenth century. www.ocarm.org http://www.facebook.com/ocarm.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Proyectos del Archivo General de los Carmelitas Las aportaciones de la Conferencia Episcopal Italiana (CEI) destinadas a archivos y bibliotecas históricas pertenecientes a las Diócesis, Congregaciones y Órdenes religiosas, han hecho posible que el Archivo General de la Orden pudiese realizar, el año 2018, un proyecto de digitalización de nueve códices manuscritos de la Sección “Postulación General”, serie "Vitae servorum Dei Carmelitarum", elaborada por el postulador Serafino Maria Potenza (siglo XVIII), con un total de 10.514 pliegos. Las foto-reproduciones se podrán consultar pronto en el Archivo y, en un futuro próximo, también en el portal de la CEI “BeWeB” (Bienes Eclesiásticos en la Web), de acuerdo con el inventario electrónico que se está realizando. Con las aportaciones de la CEI previstas para el año 2019 se espera completar la digitalización de los siete restantes códices del Potenza y restaurar seis pergaminos de la Sección Diplomática que van del siglo XII al siglo XV. www.ocarm.org http://www.facebook.com/ocarm.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Progetti dell’Archivio Generale dei Carmelitani Grazie ai contributi della Conferenza Episcopale Italiana (CEI), destinati ad archivi e biblioteche storiche appartenenti a Diocesi, Congregazioni e Ordini religiosi, l’Archivio Generale dell’Ordine ha potuto realizzare, nel 2018, un progetto di digitalizzazione di nove codici manoscritti della Sezione “Postulazione Generale”, serie "Vitae servorum Dei Carmelitarum", prodotta dal postulatore Serafino Maria Potenza (sec. XVIII), per un totale di 10.514 carte. Le fotoriproduzioni saranno presto consultabili in Archivio e, in un futuro prossimo, anche sul portale della CEI "BeWeB" (Beni Ecclesiastici nel Web), a corredo dell'inventario elettronico che si sta realizzando.
